"We must not be deceived into a fatuous conclusion that Look People are an aberration in the polyhistorical progression of aesthetics or the ancillary corollary that its antithesis is but a preferable addendum to the semiotic forces underlying the hopelessly jejune chrysalis of our cultural matrix. Anyone who thinks so is a big fat cock-doody head!"

"One of the best live acts I've ever seen"

LOOK PEOPLE were a Canadian alternative rock band in the 1980s and 1990s.

They were the most outlandishly quirky band on the Canadian music scene of their era, known for their -

“cuisinart fashion statements”, “turrets syndrome time signatures”and high energy live performances.

In 1992, at the instigation of JIM ROSE (Jim Rose Sideshow Circus),

what would be the group’s final line-up of:

JAYMZ BEE, GREAT BOB SCOTT, KEVIN HEARN, LONGO HAI and

CHRIS GARTNER performed at LOLLAPALOOZA in Canada.

This gained them new fans from members of PEARL JAM, and the RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERSThey then went on to play another LOLLAPALOOZA (opening for RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE)

in California, becoming the only band to ever

play in both the Canadian and US festivals.

In 1993 they released their final opus.“CRAZY EGGS”

with Swiss producer WALTER ZWEIFEL”  (WALTER had previously worked with the likes of John Cage, and

Englebert Humperdicnk)The goup then toured EUROPE, and North America playing many sold-out shows, including opening spots with  DREAD ZEPPELIN, and shows at New York's infamous CBGB's.

Around this time they also appeared in a live National television simul-cast concert from the US, for MUCH MUSIC in Daytona Beach Florida. While in Florida, MUCH MUSIC also sent them to Disneyland with a video camera to film themselves taking rides, and wandering about in their strange costumes amongst unsuspecting families.

" A cracked hybrid of rock, electronic music, jazz and pure unbridled lunacy; listening to this album is the musical equivalent of riding blindfolded in a bumper car--the tunes leave no time for breath as they lurch into and out of their numerous and frenetic divergent phases."

In a bizarre move they became the house band for the CBC television variety show: FRIDAY NIGHT with RALPH BENMURGUI. During this stint, they had many great

musicians sit-in including COLIN LINDEN, THE SHUFFLE DEMONS,

BOB WISEMAN, and KEN WHITELEY among others.

Guests on the show included: DAVID CRONENBURG, THE BAND,

BRUCE COCKBURN, and DAVID SUZUKI.

After a final tour of North America, they played one last freaky show at the famed PALOMINO CLUB. in North Hollywood.
