Kevin Hearn & Thin Buckle is Barenaked Ladies multi-instrumentalist Kevin Hearn's group with

fellow ex/Look People members - bassist Chris Gartner, and drummer Great Bob Scott

Over the years, this line-up has included: Martin Tielli, Derek Orford, Mike Rathke,

Ford Peir, Brian Macmillian, Tim Bovaconti, and Hugh Marsh.

 

Chris can be heard playing bass, and singing back-up on all four albums the group has put out:

H-Wing, Night Light, Miracle Mile, and Havana Winter. He also appears on  Kevin's solo records: Mothball MintCloud Maintenance, Days in Frames, Super Hero Suite, and Calm and Sense

 

They have toured throughout Canada, and in the U.S. with highlights including shows in New York,

Los Angeles, and Toronto's Massey Hall. Many special guests have appeared on their recordings, including: LOU REED, LAURIE ANDERSON, GARTH HUDSON, MARY MARGARET O'HARA,

VAN DYKE PARKS, and CHANTAL KREVIAZUK.

They have opened for the Barenaked Ladies at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre, and performed concerts on the BNL cruises to the Carribean. Kevin and Thinbuckle have appeared together as guests on

Boothby Graffoe's "Hop", and Garth  Hudson's "Canadian Tribute to THE BAND".

 

 

Kevin and the group did a video for "Driftwood" from H-Wing, and have made a number of televsion and radio appearances including:

 

CBC's RadiosonicQ, TVO Studio 2, and CTVA song from Night Light  was featured in the movie:

"My Suicidal Sweetheart" (with Rossana Arquette). They also appear on the them song to Maurice Sendak's "Seven Little Monsters"
